Seth McFarlane is a very iconic comic-book artist and creator who cares deeply about his characters and creations. One of his most beloved creations is a fairly niche character named Spawn, he's been working incredibly hard on a Spawn film for a very long time. The character had a movie in the 90s but it was trashed by critics and fans so McFarlane is writing, funding, and seemingly directing the feature film himself.
He has claimed the film won't be a superhero movie and will be more like an indie horror movie. McFarlane confirmed a few months ago he'd have a special announcement during Comic-Con and now we're going to finally get a big update tomorrow regarding the new Spawn film. He hasn't said what specifically it'll be regarding (casting, release date, etc) but given this is during Comic-Con, it has to be something significant.
For years, people have been asking about the Spawn movie and I can officially tell you that today's announcement will be that in 24 hours we're going to make an official announcement on the Spawn movie. I'm going to be streaming it live on Facebook so, at 2:00 PM Pacific standard time, be on your phone, we're going to be making the announcement and we're going to be off to the races.
Come back at 2 PM PT tomorrow for whatever news comes out regarding the Spawn film.
