Two Tribes is finally ready to launch Toki Tori 2 on Nintendo's Wii U console.
The platform-puzzle game was meant to release on December 20 but got pushed back. Two Tribes admitted it wasn't in fit shape and needed more time to polish. It's now scheduled for April 4, according to a post on the developer's blog.
"We planned to release Toki Tori 2 in March, but we had to resubmit to Nintendo because of a crash bug we missed," Two Tribes wrote. "We could probably stick to our plan and release it in the final days of March, but that would mean a release during the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco."
GDC takes place from Monday, March 25 through Friday, March 29.
"During GDC, all eyes are on that event and the news coming out of it, so we decided to do it the week after," the developer wrote. "You may have noticed a lot is riding for us on the success of Toki Tori 2, so we hope you do not mind waiting two more weeks!"
The game is also still undergoing checks from Nintendo's certification team, but Two Tribes said "we’re confident it’ll pass in time."
Toki Tori 2 is also due out on Steam this year.
