Fans eager to get a jump start on The Division's upcoming open beta can now go ahead and download the client. The beta officially opens on Thursday, Feb. 18 on Xbox One, and a day later on PC and PS4, so downloading the client now ensures you are able to jump right into the action the second it goes live.
The client download is around 27GB; however, if you already have the closed beta client installed then you'll only need to download a 1.6GB update.
The open beta will consist mostly of content that was offered in the closed beta, but will add an all-new story mission "for players to explore in their pursuit to save tthe city." This will also grant you access to another wing of your Base of Operation which will unlock a new skill. The Closed Beta included the Hospital starting mission, as well as some side tasks to help grow your Base of Operation. Players were also able to enter the PvP-enabled Dark Zone, which has received a ton of tweaks.
You can read the full change-log for The Division's open beta here.
The open beta will take place from February 18-21 on Xbox One, with the PS4 and PC platforms getting it from February 19-21.
