Tom Clancy’s The Division Open Beta dates announced

Xbox One owners get 24 hour early access again

As expected, Ubisoft will be hosting another beta for Tom Clancy's The Division. Unlike the previous one, this will be an open beta, which means anyone and everyone can participate.

The open beta will take place next weekend (Feb. 19-21). Xbox One owners will actually get a 24-hour early access, and will be able to play the game beginning February 18th. Despite having to wait 24 hours, everyone can begin pre-loading the content starting February 16th.

Speaking of content, the Open Beta will include all of the original content featured in the Closed Beta, but will add to an an all-new story mission "for players to explore in their pursuit to save the city." The Closed Beta included the Hospital starting mission, as well as some side tasks to help grow your Base of Operation. Players were also able to enter the PvP-enabled Dark Zone.

In addition to getting a taste of the game's mid-crisis New York and helping Ubisoft further test the game systems ahead of The Division's March 8th launch, all players who participate in the open beta phase will receive a "special" in-game reward that will be unlocked when the full game releases.

Response to the closed beta was so overwhelming Ubisoft not only had to temporarily stall guaranteed access for those who pre-ordered the game, but went on to extend testing by an additional day
