Toy Story 4 isn't set to hit theaters until 2018, but production on the film has already begun, according to one of the film's key actors.
Speaking on Britain's "The Graham Norton Show" (via Sky News Australia), actor Tom Hanks confirmed he has begun recording the voiceover for his role as cowboy Sheriff Woody in Toy Story 4.
"We are now recording ‘Toy Story 4,’ so we are doing that and it will be out in 2018. It takes a long time. We are working on it right now. I have a recording session on December 2,” Hanks said, explaining the strenuous recording process which sometimes results in him having to "put an ice pack on my chest" on the drive home after "four to five hours" of recording.
Toy Story 4 is presumably in early production, and as such, not much is officially known about the film; however, rumors and speculation suggest the fourth film in the franchise could be a romantic comedy between Woody and Bo Peep. Of course, there's always the wild fan theory that Andy's Mom is actually Emily (the little girl who gave up Jesse the Cowgirl years before) and the love story could be the reunited of Jesse and Emily. That would be a wild twist.
Toy Story 4 is set to hit theaters on June 15, 2018.
