Though the Tomb Raider film starring Alicia Vikander recently entered production actors are still joining in on the project. A new report has revealed that Dominic West has joined the film's cast as Lara Croft's father, Richard Croft.
Previous details on the Tomb Raider film's story had said that the movie revolves around "a young Lara Croft in search to see if her father is dead or alive." The plot has been furthered detailed to reveal that Lara is looking to finish her father's research and uncover "ancient secrets" to clear his "disgraced name."
It's interesting to see West take on the role of Vikander's father – he played that role once before in a 2014 film titled Testament of Youth.
Tomb Raider is scheduled to release on March 16th, 2018
