Reactions to Alicia Vikander's casting as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider film were pretty much a mixed bag. Some were for her, others were against her, but the decision has been set – she is Lara Croft.
Thanks to the film recently having entered production, even with actors still joining in on the project – like Dominic West recently being cast as Lara Croft's father, Richard Croft, we have been given our first look at Vikander as Croft and it's not so bad.
The Daily Mail got their hands on a number of pictures from the upcoming film that show off Vikander in action and it looks a lot like the rebooted games – well at least as her outfit goes.
For the slight framed Vikander, it looks like she put on some muscle for the film, but seeing as the film is about a young Lara Croft on her first adventure it makes sense that she's not diesel. Also, the entire outfit is pretty on point – except those boots with a giant heel.
Good luck landing jumps, climbing mountains and running up things (or away from things) with those.
