Tomba! 2 hits PlayStation Network tomorrow for PS3, PS Vita, and PSP

PlayStation 1 platformer Tomba! 2 is headed to the PlayStation Network tomorrow — in case you're itching for a jungle adventure that's not Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Developer Whoopee Camp's Tomba! 2 is the last game in MonkeyPaw Games' six-week Retro Rush event, and the publisher says it's gotten the most requests out of any of their other releases.

"On February 18th, you can download the Japanese import version of Tomba! 2 for your PS3, PS Vita, and PSP," MonkeyPaw PR manager Ryan Olsen wrote on the PlayStation Blog. "Since the title is in Japanese, we’ll be providing a complete walkthrough on our website for players."

The 2D/3D platformer stars a pink-haired jungle boy, who's searching for his missing friend.

"Tomba! 2 is a title we’ve wanted to release for the longest time but we’ve had to overcome some technical hurdles first," wrote Olsen.

Producer Tokuro Fujiwara created Tomba! and other titles like Ghosts ‘n Goblins and Mega Man.
