Tomorrow’s Xbox One update requires manual download

Tomorrow's eagerly awaited Xbox One system update must be downloaded manually, an Xbox representative confirmed today.

The update, revealed earlier this month, adds a number of new features including a battery power indicator, the ability to see and manage storage space on the console, separate lists for My Games and My Apps, and USB keyboard support.

Having to manually download the update should be a one-time issue, however, as the representative also confirmed that tomorrow's update will allow users to enable background updates. That means the next system update, due out in March in time for Titanfall, should be downloaded automatically as long as you change the settings.
