Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Gets the Axe on Steam Very Soon

Get it at $2 while it lasts.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is just like it sounds: An updated version of the classic Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. It was released in 2012 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, receiving moderate scores. Surprising or not, it's going to be removed from Steam very soon.

PC Gamer found the post on Steam announcing the removal. The post explains that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD will be "retired from the store" on July 17. There's no reason given as to why it's being removed, but it's likely due to music licensing for the game.

There's no word on the fate of the console versions of the game, but all three versions have been marked down in price significantly. Currently, the Steam version sits at 80% off at $2 until the delisting.

We reviewed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD when it was released five years ago, and since then, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 was released and promptly didn't do so well. There has since been a call from skateboard fans for a Skate 4 from EA.
