Tony Hawk Teases New Game Reveal at VGAs

It looks like we are due for a new Tony Hawk game.

The professional skateboarder, and face of the popular video game franchise, teased an upcoming announcement being made at the VGAs.

He wrote on Twitter last night, "I'll be announcing the upcoming release of somethign new on Sat; the same day as the Spike Video GameAwards.  Coincidence?  I think not."

The Tony Hawk skateboarding series began with the 1999 release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The most recent game, Tony Hawk: Shred was a flop, however, and due to poor reviews and poor sales of the recent games, no new title was released for 2011.

With a year off, let's hope they make the necessary changes to make 2012's potential game a good one.
