Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new behind the scenes video detailing the work and playtesting that has gone into Guardians of Middle-earth, a new console-based multiplayer online battle arena game.
With MOBA's gaining popularity around the gaming industry, it's easy to look at a game like this and write it off as just another copycat, but before you do so I suggest you take a look at this new video which shows just how serious Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions are with Guardians of Middle-earth and the MOBA genre.
Clearly displaying their focus on creating a fun and balanced game, WBIE and Monolith invited 8 professional MOBA gamers to playtest Guardians of Middle-earth and give their feedback. Hear what some of the biggest names in professional gaming have to say about the newest MOBA to hit the market later this year.
Taking their feedback into account Monolith has worked to balance and fix the game as needed, but be sure to check back at a later date, for part two, as the pros playtest the game one more time with the recommended fixes in place.
I had the opportunity to play Guardians of Middle-earth at E3 last year, and it was definitely a great experience on the consoles. Normally a PC League of Legends player, it was a welcomed change to see a studio attempt to bring it to consoles. I just hope they nerfed Gandalf since my last demo.
