Usually, when you're in the midst of another StarCraft II binge (or only playing a round, but who does that?), it's normal to tune out much of what the game is telling you is happening and focus on your own instincts. Those days, however, might be coming to an end as Blizzard has announced a brand new announcer pack that will be coming with the upcoming patch, 3.10 that will star none other than the sassy baritone voice of John Bain (aka Total Biscuit).
In a new post on Battle.net, Blizzard pulled back the curtain on some brand new tracks with Total Biscuit's voice for each race that will replace the standard voiceovers that you hear in the game already. The new announcer tracks will not be free, however, though Blizzard has not said how much the Announcer Pack will cost. You can probably imagine that the company dropped a pretty penny to get the Cynical Brit to lend his voice, so it's no surprise that the tracks aren't free.
That's not to say that you can't get the tracks for free, though. Blizzard also announced that they would be hosting a contest for fans to make their best Total Biscuit impression. The Top 5 entries will win codes to download the Announcer Pack, and Blizzard has said that interested fans can boost their chances by doing "whatever you can to put yourself in the shoes of John."
This can be anything from gestures to mannerisms or even props, so yes, it would probably help if you sent in a video of yourself dressed up. Submissions can be made starting today and will run through Thursday, January 26th. For more information, you can head over to Battle.net.
