Transformers: Fall of Cybertron release pushed up a week

The release date for Activision's Transformers: Fall of Cybertron has been pushed up a week. It will now release on August 21st in the U.S. and August 24th in Europe.

"High Moon Studios has listened to the countless emails, tweets, user comments and Facebook posts from fans who are clamoring for the game to hit stores," Activision said in a note released today.

"They are so proud of their work that they cannot wait to get it into people's hands the minute it's ready."

To celebrate the new launch date, a new trailer has been released providing an in-game look at Metroplex, the city-sized Transformer.

Fall of Cybertron is the direct sequel to the 2010's action thriller War for Cybertron.  The game follows the events of its predecessor as the Autobots struggle to defeat the Decepticons in a battle for their home planet of Cybertron.
