The thumping soundtrack to developer Supergiant Games’ latest indie darling, Transistor, is now available in vinyl.
Composed by Darren Korb and with vocals by Ashley Barret, the two-disc Transistor soundtrack includes every song from the game plus the bonus track “She Shines”. A download code for a digital version of the soundtrack is also included.
The records themselves are 180-gram translucent vinyl, housed in a gorgeous sleeve by artist Jen Zee. The whole package is available for $39.99 via Supergiant’s store.
Video game music has gotten awfully cozy with vinyl this past year. 2015 saw vinyl releases of the soundtracks to Battletoads, Street Fighter 2, The Last of Us, Banjo-Kazooie, Journey and Perfect Dark, to name a few. Maybe the format really is making a comeback?
