Actor Travis Fimmel admits he had never heard of the popular Warcraft game franchise prior to signing on to play the lead role of Anduin Lothar in this summer's Warcraft.
In a recent interview with The Red Bulletin, Travis Fimmel discusses his life, hobbies, and love for bungee jumping. Among the topics discussed included his acting career. On the subject of choosing the lead role in the upcoming Warcraft movie, Fimmel says the choice was nothing more than a job to him. As it turns out, he not only has no interest in gaming, but he claims he had never even heard of the Warcraft games before commiting to the role of Lothar. He discusses his experience making the film in relation to doing more blue screen work than he ever had before and had this to say:
“To be honest, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It is such a different way of acting, not talking to someone sometimes. You’re actually talking to air. It’s hard. I bloody suck at it.”
The movie stars Travis Fimmel, Robert Kazinsky, Ben Foster, and Dominic Cooper, and is directed by Antoine Fuqua.
