Trials Evolution has set the record for the highest grossing day-one sales in Xbox LIVE Arcade history, Microsoft confirmed today.
Microsoft made the announcement via the Play XLBA blog, though they didn't mention any specific numbers. However, thanks to a Tweet from developer RedLynx earlier today we now know that is has shifted over 100,000 units, resulting in overloaded multiplayer servers.
As the sequel to breakout XBLA game Trials HD, Trials Evolution features "high-octane physics-based racing across a variety of track types and environments."
The game currently has a Metacritic rating of 90 including a score of 9.5 here on GameZone. Trials Evolution is available for 1200 Microsoft Points via Xbox LIVE, or can be purchased through Xbox.com for later download on the Xbox 360 console.
