Troy Baker has a message to Metal Gear Solid fans concerning the voice of Big Boss

Some longtime fans of the Metal Gear Solid series have been apprehensive about Keifer Sutherland taking David Hayter's role as the voice of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Although this sense of fear and trepidation is normal, especially when saying goodbye to the person who voiced the character for so long, Troy Baker (Ocelot in The Phantom Pain) had some reassuring words for fans.

Keifer came in and knocked it out of the park. He did a great job. He was honoring the character that David Hayter helped create. He's doing something different, it's going to make sense. Just stick with it and play the game before you reserve any judgement.

There was no follow-up question to the Hayter-Sutherland subject, but Baker did speak on the controversial themes that were hinted at previously. He said that the controversial themes weren't limited to his character Ocelot, but that "every character has some shade of the controversy, it doesn't just come from Ocelot."
