Try out Black Ops 4’s Blackout from January 17-24 in a Free Trial

Developer Treyarch is planning a free trial for the Call of Duty series-first battle royale mode starting tomorrow. Gamers on PC, PS4 and Xbox One will have the opportunity to try out the Blackout mode between January 17-24. We also get a fun new trailer accompanying the week-long event.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launched last October and to the surprise of critical voices the first-person shooter franchise is moving towards, the game became an instant hit. Every CoD game is a massive seller on a regular basis but Black Ops 4 still managed to break expectations in a massive way.

Treyarch’s decision to ditch a singleplayer campaign entirely and instead focus on an even meatier multiplayer experience seems to have paid off in spades. Even the risky move to not appear on Steam and only become available through Activision Blizzard’s Battle.net didn’t hurt the juggernaut a bit.

One aspect which no doubt was instrumental in the rejuvenation of the franchise, is the inclusion of a brand-new game mode with Blackout. Call of Duty’s way of doing battle royale. It sounded like a throwaway attempt to cash in on the battle royale craze but gamers and critics were proven wrong alike. We really enjoyed Black Ops 4 and felt impressed how well Treyarch pulled off the feat of breathing new life into the known formula.

Publisher Activision is now celebrating its newest CoD game by holding a week-long free trial, starting tomorrow. Between January 17-24, all gamers on PC, PS4 and Xbox One will have the chance to try out the Blackout mode for absolutely free. So, don’t pass up on this chance. You just might be surprised how Blackout offers a unique and worthwhile multiplayer experience. It definitely is a viable option if you’re fed up with PUBG and Fortnite, so make sure to play a few matches with your multiplayer crew of friends.
