Everyone likes a good hunting bow right now. You got Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, Tomb Raider, Assassin’s Creed, etc, etc. But what about a futuristic compound bow pulled back by a strength enhanced Nanosuit? It would appear that Crysis 3 has upped the ante a bit more when it comes to perfecting killing. Before the third installment of the Crysis series comes out February 19th in NA, why not take a shot (quite literally) at the multiplayer?
On January 29th, a multiplayer demo for Crysis 3 will be coming to Xbox 36, PS3, and PC. This multiplayer will include 2 of the 8 modes offered in the full game. ‘Crash Site’ is a capture and defend mode where you earn points the longer you fold down multiple forts. In ‘Hunter’ mode 2 players are pitted against 10 others (2 vs. 14 on PC). The 2 are cloaked hunters and the 10 are CELL troopers. The Hunters… well, hunt… the other 10 armed only with the Predator Bow. As the Hunters kill, the dead respawn as Hunters until either the clock goes to zero or all CELL troops die. It sounds like a mixture of Half Life’s The Hidden and Halo’s Flood.
Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek, said:
"With Crysis 3 we are delivering the deepest, most robust Crysis multiplayer experience yet. We have listened closely to our fans and have evolved the multiplayer in Crysis 3 by adding a host of new gameplay features including the unique Hunter mode, deadly new weapons like the Predator bow, deeper loadout and unlock options, enhanced upgrade systems and more social features like the New York Feed. Top it all off with the ultimate weapon in the Nanosuit and you have a multiplayer experience that is unlike anything else out there."
Crysis 3 fans who preorder before launch will get upgraded to the Hunter Edition. This version comes with instant access to the Predator Bow and attachments to the Hunter Nanosuit module for more power. You’ll also receive an XP bonus up to level 5, a bow skin, and three exclusive dog tags.
