Tsukimonogatari reveals Blu-ray cost and release dates

Over at Japan’s Monogatari site, new information has been posted about the release of Tsukimonogatari’s release date and pricing. As the first part of Monogatari’s “Final Season,” it’s important to get started off right. The story of Yotsugi Doll will have you questioning what it means to be alive and to be a monster. Here’s the thing. While Tsukimonogatari is only four episodes, it appears as the Blue-rays and DVDs are being split down to two episodes each and being sold for what is typically four episodes; 7,560 Yen for the Blu-rays. I guess I’ll never complain about 4 episode only Blue-rays again. The first volume will be released in Japan on February 4th while the second volume will be released in Japan March 4th.

Well… other than that, Tsukimonogatari is Shaft made and therefore beautiful and stunning. Maybe we’ll get different editions as far as packaging and prices go? Who knows. Regardless, keep the Monogatari coming! Shinobu Oshino and Yotsugi Ononoki in the balck dresses is pretty great; I hope they keep that art.
