Naughty Dog has announced that the first official television spot for The Last of Us will air on the season finale of AMC's The Walking Dead this Sunday, March 31. The Walking Dead focuses on a Rick Grimes as he leads a group of survivors through a zombie apocalypse; The Last of Us centers on Joel as he attempts to bring fourteen year old Ellie across the infected United States to a resistance group of survivors. Both series have a tremendous amount of emphasis on character relationship and development, making them a perfect fit for each other.
"We are now just three months away from the launch of The Last of Us — Naughty Dog’s newest franchise. The team is working extremely hard on putting the finishing touches on the game. It’s exciting to see all the different aspects of the game finally come together into the vision we’ve had in mind all along. Joel and Ellie’s journey is turning out to be something truly special that we can’t wait to share with our fans," said Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann.
For those interested, The Walking Dead airs on AMC on Sunday at 9:00pm Pacific Time and Easter Time. We'll hopefully have the trailer here on GameZone shortly after its premiere.
