TwitchTV teams up with Penny Arcade to stream PAX events

Earlier this week, TwitchTV, the leading site for live streamed gaming content, has announced a partnership with Penny Arcade to livestream the upcoming PAX East  as well as future PAX events. This is huge news for those of us who have never been able to travel to these events as we will finally be able to witness the press conferences, the booths and all of the content first hand, rather than having to rely on news portals to hear it portrayed.

“PAX East has grown into one of the most prominent video game conferences in the world,” said Emmett Shear, CEO of TwitchTV. “Fans can now view the convention’s highlights from the comfort of their homes–including our own panel on the video game broadcasting trend–and we’re offering a couple of our viewers the chance to win tickets to attend PAX East in person.”

“With a solid video platform like TwitchTV and all the great content at our PAX events, it seems a shame not to allow a global audience to enjoy it,” said Robert Khoo of Penny Arcade. “With this partnership, now they can. It’s going to be a great event.”

PAX East will take place April 6-8th – be sure to tune in to the livestream of the event, and check in here with us at GameZone for all the latest on PAX, if you miss anything!
