October 11, 2001 — Ubi Soft Entertainment, one of the top ten interactive
entertainment/video game publishers in the world, has signed on to be the title
sponsor of the Rayman®
Arena Street Course venue when
INVERT’2001 opens in Irvine, California, this October 12th. Ubi Soft holds the
exclusive video game software promotional rights to INVERT’2001 and the
Rayman®
Arena Street Course, where top
X-Games and Gravity Games athletes will compete in a variety of events.
As part of the festivities, Ubi Soft will give extreme athletes and their fans
the chance to play the new PlayStation®2 computer entertainment
system games: BatmanTM Vengeance, Sunny Garcia Surfing, Disney’s
TarzanTM
Untamed and Rayman® Arena,
which features the popular video game characters in compelling game scenarios.
Skateboard events to take place on the Rayman®
Arena Street Course will be a
Professional Street Skateboard competition, the Foundation “Best Trick”
competition, the OneWest Highest Ollie Contest, and an Amateur Street
competition. All of these events will be shot for a TV sports special on FOX
Sports Net to air on December 16, 2001 at 1:00pm nationally. Ubi Soft will have
commercials, promotional bumpers, etc. during that broadcast.
Ubi Soft and the game, Rayman®
Arena, will also be visible at more than 350 Southern California Taco Bell
restaurants, and in promotional events hosted by street teams, and radio media.
Ubi Soft will also receive significant exposure onsite at INVERT’2001 with
dominant Ubi Soft and Rayman® Arena signage in the street course
venue and around the event.
