Ubisoft announces The Crew 2 post-launch content plans

Ubisoft will be dropping The Crew 2 at the end of the month and while we’re pretty excited for the core game, the team just announced even more exciting content coming in the future.

Ubisoft has announced that while there will be a season pass, they have no plans to split or divide their player base and will have regular free content updates. Every three months, Ubisoft will release new content updates which include new vehicles, events, and more. Every month there will also be two new vehicles released to players.

This will all begin with Gator Rush in September which will introduce a hovercraft which can move across water and land for all kinds of whacky new races. In December, the second major update will bring a PVP mode of some kind and much more.

“Continuous expansion and renewal has always been at the core of our vision for the franchise,” said Ahmed Boukhelifa, Ivory Tower Managing Director. “For players, this means they will always find new activities and things to discover – or re-discover from another perspective.”

As for season pass owners, it’ll be treated more like Rainbow Six Siege’s season passes. You’ll get in-game discounts and early access to new content but you’re not being given any exclusive content that will give you an edge in races, it’s all purely cosmetic or early access to vehicles that will be available to everyone else later. You can view the full breakdown of the season pass content below. The season pass is $39.99 but is also included in the Gold and Motor editions of The Crew 2.

  • Three exclusive vehicles on day one, the Porsche 911 TURBO 3.6, the SUPERMARINE SPITFIRE MK IX and the ICE Marine BLADERUNNER 35.
  • Seven days early access to the monthly added vehicles, totaling 22 vehicles
  • One exclusive house location as well as two exclusive outfits
  • VIP 20 percent discount off of the game store

The Crew 2 will release on June 29th, 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We recently played the beta and had nothing but good things to say about the upcoming racer.
