When a game goes into beta, it's sole existence isn't to provide players with a chance at experiencing the game. A beta also allows developers to see the limitations, bugs and glitches that are present in the game based off of player feedback.
The Division beta players on PC have been reporting issues with other players cheating or hacking the game. Whether it's players using a 'Ghost Hack' so no one sees them or running through the game in 'God Mode' so they can't be killed by other players — there's a serious issue with cheating on PC in Ubisoft's game.
Ubisoft doesn't want to call these 'hacks' or 'cheats' though, they claim that everything being reported is simply the result of players abusing glitches.
"Guys, so you're aware the things discussed here are not in fact hacks or cheats, but merely abuse of glitches that exist in the game currently. These glitches are currently being worked on by the team," wrote community manager Natchai Stappers on The Division's forums.
Ubisoft's Community developer Hamish Bode, however, doesn't deny or rename the cheats to glitches.
So, it appears as though Ubisoft is working on fixing these cheats/hacks/glitches, regardless of what they call them. At least, there's that.
Hopefully Ubisoft implements an anti-cheat system before they lose their PC player base!
