Ubisoft's co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot is referring to next month's E3 as a "pivotal moment" for the game industry. With game sales down the past few months, all eyes are on Microsoft and Sony as they give the world another look at their next-gen consoles. Many are hoping the Xbox One and PS4 will help resuscitate a slumping gaming industry. Needless to say, I'm sure we all kind of think of this year's E3 as a critical time for the industry
“This is a pivotal moment for the video game industry, and E3 is the opportunity for us to share our vision for the future,” said Yves Guillemot. Ubisoft estimates that within two years the next-gen consoles' installed base could be "double that of the previous generation over a comparable period." And Ubisoft seems well-equipped to handle the transition thanks to the cross-studio collaboration structure.
So looking ahead, Ubisoft has quite a lineup to show off at E3 including Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, and Rayman Legends. The company also has plans to announce even more next-gen titles during E3, including a new title — possibly a new Driver — from Ubisoft Reflections
