There was a rumor circulating the web about a special mode for Assassin’s Creed: Origins that would allow players to run the game at 1080p and 60 frames per second on the Xbox One X. This rumor was started by YouTuber Dee batch a couple of days ago and created a lot of speculations about it.
None of the press that was at Gamescom and had the chance to play the game reported it. Luckily for us, our friends from DualShockers decided to ask Ubisoft about this rumor, and they got the following response:
“It is too soon for us to say, as of today as the game framerate has not been locked yet. Our goal is take full advantage of the hardware horsepower to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms. Assassin’s Creed Origins will use dynamic resolution rendering, so the resolution will adapt to ensure a smooth frame rate and the best image possible in all situations.”
Basically, that mode doesn’t exist yet. However, they didn’t say it’s not possible or that they won’t make it. We just need to wait until they finish testing with the rendering in order to offer the best option for all the consoles available in the market.
Although they are doing some tests, it would be naïve from them to not take advantage of the extra juice that the Xbox One X offers.
Assassins Creed: Origins will be available on October 27th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
