Ubisoft explains how Shape Up makes fitness fun

Fitness games are nothing new. Since the arrival of the Wii and Xbox Kinect — probably even before that — developers have looked for ways to encourage gamers to be fit and healthy. One of those ways is to incorporate working out with your video games. Of course, very few of these games actually makes working out. Who likes to sweat?

So when Ubisoft announced during its E3 press conference Shape Up, another fitness game, I was skeptical to say the least. I'm sure thousands of others were too (or maybe still are). Looking to address that, Ubisoft has posted an interview with creative director Charles Huteau in an attempt to better explain how Shape Up makes fitness fun.

Shape Up is a Kinect game and will arrive exclusively on Xbox One this holiday season.
