Ubisoft Forward, Guerilla Collective and Summer Game Fest dates unveiled

Despite this year’s E3 getting cancelled due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, game companies have alternative digital events already set into motion to bring the newest game news and announcements to gamers. But unlike E3, this year’s events are spaced out throughout the entire summer season, with Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest kicking off tomorrow, May 13th.

Geoff Keighley already established a great yearly gaming event with The Video Game Awards. As such, the upcoming Summer Game Fest naturally is loaded with high expectations. Then again, this isn’t a one-off but will take place monthly until August. So, keep your expectations in check since the big game reveals will likely be spaced out throughout several events.

Next month, the Guerilla Collective will follow with a three-day event that’ll include over twenty publishers and developers. New game announcements are being promised, so make sure to not miss out on the show between June 6th-8th.

Last but not least, we have Ubisoft’s very own digital showcase titled Ubisoft Forward. Since the French publisher is one of the largest game company’s in the world, it’s fitting for them to have their own dedicated event. Expect actual gameplay from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla alongside game reveals and much more on July 12!

While the cancellation of E3 led to initial fears that 2020 would go down as the quietest year in terms of game releases and news. Many weren’t even sure whether Sony and Microsoft would go on with their next-gen console launches. But thankfully, companies and gamers are adapting very quickly to the current situation.
