While Ubisoft gave their earnings call today, they revealed a few things. First, we'd be seeing a bunch of established franchises see new installments in the series and next year, we would be seeing a total of five major game releases.
Unfortunately, there was no mention of the new Assassin's Creed hitting the Nintendo Switch – something that rumors suggest isn't happening.
On the bright side, Ubisoft has confirmed that a new Assassin's Creed game, as well as The Crew 2, Far Cry 5 and South Park: Fractured But Whole are releasing this year. As for next year, Ubisoft will be bringing four major titles and one brand new IP.
There's a chance one of those upcoming games are for the Switch, though. Ubisoft's Chief Financial Officer Alain Martinez mentioned that the company will “deliver some great games for the Switch,” during the earnings call, and that “the platform’s launch has gone incredibly well.”
As for what games are coming, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot detailed "one unannounced" game in addition to Just Dance and the previously announced Steep and Monopoly. There's a chance that the 'unannounced game' could be the rumored Mario x Rabbids crossover.
