Ubisoft issues series of cryptic Assassin’s Creed 3 tweets

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Twitter has shared a series of cryptic messages related to upcoming game Assassin's Creed 3. Three mysterious tweets were made before Ubisoft "gained control" of the Twitter and claimed "technical issues".

Here are the three tweets, let's see of you can decode the meaning.

Tweet 1: "He is gone. #16 is no more. And now they begin. To search for 1 more"

Tweet 2: "THEY are responsible. Abstergo's to blame. They play with our lives. Like it's only a game"

Tweet 3: "They search for the ‘’prophet’’ They’re grasping at straws. Their ill-conceived plans, are riddled with flaws"

Immediately after they posted the following message: "Sorry for the disruption, Assassins. We were experiencing some technical issues, but we're back up to 100% now! Thanks for your patience!"

#16 is likely referring to Desmond's predecessor Clay Kaczmarek, also known as Subject 16 of the Animus Project, who continues to reach out and help Desmond in the Animus Project. But with #16 now gone, who is sending these tweets?

Fans have begun to post ideas on Ubisoft's forums, speculating the tweets are from the mysterious Erudito, who is either an individual or collective of several people who aim to oppose Abstergo.

Are you hyped yet? The wait isn't that much longer as Assassin's Creed 3 is set to release on October 30, 2012.
