French studio Ubisoft is dusting off another classic Prince of Persia game for the App Store.
The company plans to release an upgraded version of Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame for iPhone and iPad. It already cleaned up the original game in 2011, rereleasing it as Prince of Persia Classic.
Both games are closely connected, with the second taking place only 11 days later. The Shadow and the Flame launched on MS-DOS in 1993, came to the Super Nintendo three years later, and also landed on Mac with higher resolution graphics. Brøderbund, an early publisher of Myst, developed the title.
This iOS version, which is coming soon (Ubisoft hasn't set a price or release date), features 11 levels and new weapons and powers. It uses gesture-based controls and supports Game Center leaderboards.
