Ubisoft, who has hopes of becoming the Wii U's leading third party publisher, has announced their extensive lineup of video games being shown off at Gamescom this year – many of which are Wii U titles.
Those attending Germany-based games convention will have hands-on time with many of Ubisoft's upcoming games before they officially release.
Headlining those titles is Assassin's Creed 3, the next installment in the acclaimed Assassin's Creed franchise where gamers will play as Connor, fighting for justice during the American Revolution. Ubisoft did not mention if the Wii U version of the game will be playable at the event, but it was demoed at E3. It was recently reported that Assassin's Creed 3 runs at natively at 1080p on the Wii U.
Other Wii U titles you can get your hands on includes new social platformer Ryaman Legends which allows players to use the Wii U's GamePad as a way to manipulate the environment, Wii U-exclusives Rabbids Land and Sports ConnectionTM, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013, and new survival horror/fps game Zombi U. Given that the Wii U has been relatively cheap for Ubisoft to develop games for, it's no surprise they are showing off so many titles for Nintendo's new console.
In addition to Ubisoft's extensive Wii U lineup, the company will be showing off other highly anticipated titles like Far Cry 3, Shootmania: Storm, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online, a new competitive free-to-play FPS.
Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation will also be playable on the PlayStation Vita. This exclusive experience introduces the first female protagonist, Aveline, as she fights for freedom in Louisiana during the American Revolution.
Attendees can also watch an extended demo of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and see games like Just Dance 4, The Settlers Online, and the Hip Hop Dance Experience in the main stage area of Ubisoft's booth inside hall 7.
