Ubisoft is sharing the new setting for the next Assassin’s Creed title right now. In a collaboration with famed artist BossLogic, the artwork for it is being painted digitally in a live stream. You can watch it live below!
The next installment of Ubisoft’s acclaimed historic open-world action-RPG is incoming. That’s at least what we gather from the French publisher’s marketing ploy that is currently underway on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter.
In a rather unusual way, fans Ubisoft has decided to share the setting of the next Assassin’s Creed via a live art creation. None other than graphic designer BossLogic is crafting an interesting piece of art that is unmistakably unveiling that our favorite history-spanning adventure is headed into the cold North.
Just like previous rumors and leaks suggested, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title will be featuring the famed Viking warriors of Scandinavia. Whether this means that the region will be solely there is unclear at the moment, of course. Previous leaks suggested that at least parts of Great Britain and Europe would also be included.
Thankfully, with today’s teaser, there’s a good probability that Ubisoft will unveil the game properly in the not-so-distant future. Coupled with recent industry insiders claiming that Sony and Microsoft are planning to talk and show much more about their respective next-gen systems and games very soon, the chances are that Ubisoft will be using the momentum to unveil the new Assassin’s Creed as well. Our bets are on it being showcased in either – maybe even both – the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X showcase.
Either way, fans of the series should prepare themselves to abandon the hot climate of Odyssey & Origins and get ready for the freezing north. It’ll be interesting to see if Ubisoft manages to dethrone God of War as the champion of the Nordic setting.
