Ubisoft to announce Co-Op shooter Rainbow Six Quarantine this E3

According to yet another E3 leak, Ubisoft is going to announce a new game under the Rainbow Six banner. This time, it’s going to be a Player-vs-Environment Co-Op shooter called Rainbow Six Quarantine. The leak comes from credible industry insider Nibel via Twitter.

Eurogamer reports on the second major game leak which has happened very close before Ubisoft’s actual E3 show where we will presumably receive official word about the French publisher’s newest projects. This week, Amazon UK famously leaked the title and important gameplay mechanics of the third Watch Dogs game, Watch Dogs: Legion. You can read more about the fascinating new features of the game here.

Today, it’s Rainbow Six Quarantine’s turn to get leaked. The popular modern military setting has been receiving lots of unique game experiences by Ubisoft recently. There’s the excellent competitive online shooter Rainbow Six Siege which has become a mainstay in the competitive online scene for years now. On the other hand there’s the complex and vast open-world Ghost Recon Wildlands which pits players in a massive map where they can complete missions either in true singleplayer with CPU controlled teammates or with real players in co-op.

Details about Rainbow Six Quarantine are thin at the moment but we learn today that contrary to the other current Rainbow Six game, Quarantine targets a very different shooting experience. The game is supposedly going to be a co-op shooter against computer controlled enemies. A similar game mode was featured in Rainbow Six Siege previously with Outbreak, and received lots of positive feedback from player. Quarantine might be a standalone spin-off of this mode.

We’ll learn more about Rainbow Six Quarantine during Ubisoft’s E3 press show next Monday, where the publisher is likely going to officialythe game – alongside Watch Dogs: Legion – and other exciting new games. Stay tuned.
