Ubisoft’s F2P Battle Royale Hyper Scape out August on PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Console gamers rejoice

Console gamers can look forward to August 11th when Hyper Scape finally launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on top of PC.  The open beta on PC will continue until August 2nd. Check out the Season 1 trailer here!

With Hyper Scape, the last major game publisher has entered the battle royale space. The game enjoyed a short open beta on PC after its initial reveal early on this month. And soon it’ll be finally the turn for console owners to experience Ubisoft’s jab at the popular online-shooter genre. Well, a Nintendo Switch version hasn’t been confirmed yet. Sorry Switch-only gamers.

The first Season of Hyper Scape ‘The First Principle’ comes packed with a new weapon and a new Hack – what the game calls its skills. This totals in a complete range of 11 weapons and 11 hacks.

Learn to avoid the Blight that progressively dissolves Neo Arcadia’s districts in varied patterns throughout each match. Maximize the Effects Cards played by the AI Game Master during the match, changing the game on the fly for all contenders. If you are skilled enough to make it to the final remaining players, you will enter the Showdown where you can choose your path to victory: will you eliminate all opposition or choose a more tactical approach and go for the Crown? Intense, surprising and spectacular, Hyper Scape brings Battle Royale to new heights.

Season 1 also marks the start of the narrative for Hyper Scape where players will slowly uncover more details about the futuristic world and characters. To do that, players will have to collect memory shards that are hidden in the game world.

Of course, there is a battle pass for Season 1 which can either be bought with real-world money or in-game credit. Limited-time game modes are also promised but they aren’t disclosed just yet.

If you tried Hyper Scape on PC but want to continue on consoles, we have good news. Hyper Scape supports full cross-progression which means you can pick up on either Xbox One or PlayStation 4 where you left off on PC.
