UFC’s Conor McGregor to play part in Game of Thrones next season

"The White Walkers? They'll do nuttin"

Conor McGregor will step outside of the octagon and into the world of Game of Thrones as the UFC fighter's appearance in the upcoming series has been confirmed.

The Irish cage fighter has already tried his hand in some acting as he featured in one of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's game trailers, but a role in the blockbuster series will be his biggest part to date.

This news was confirmed by UFC President Dana White, during an interview with FOX Sports.

"I knew a few months ago that they were interested in putting him in the show," he said. "And I'm glad he did it. It'll be great."

The role that Conor will play in the next series is still yet to be confirmed, but that hasn't stopped people from having a guess.

One theory, put forward by Watchers of the Wall, suggests that McGregor will be one of the soldiers on Euron Greyjoy's ship, which is called 'Silence.'

If that was the case, it would be highly likely that the current UFC Lightweight Champion is only set for a cameo role in the series.
