UK Move Starter Pack devoid of Sports Champions

UK-based PlayStation 3 owners looking forward to the arrival of the new Move motion-control system might be feeling somewhat short-changed today after Sony detailed exactly what they can expect to find inside the PlayStation Move Starter Pack.

Set for launch over the pond on September 15, the Move Starter Pack will come complete with a standard Move controller and the PlayStation Eye camera – much like the version that’s set for retail in the United States.

It will also include a demo disc showcasing brief playable samples of Move-compatible titles such as Sports Champions, Start the Party, The Shoot, Eyepet: Move Edition, TV Superstars and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.

However, slight twinges of ‘Euro-pee-on’ disgruntlement may arise upon learning that the full retail copy of Sports Champions bundled with the US version of Sony’s Move Starter Pack will be absent in the UK edition.

That being said, with anticipation for Move steadily building, the content discrepancy is unlikely to stay the hand of prospective buyers in the UK, who’ll be expected to pay 49.99 GBP for the Starter Pack – which does not include the Navigation Sub-Controller.

Those looking to purchase Move items separately (perhaps because they already own a PlayStation Eye camera) will need to find 34.99 GBP for the Move controller, 24.99 GBP for the Sub-Controller, and 24.99 GBP for the PlayStation Eye.
