Last weekend, ORIGIN Systems held the inaugural Ultima Online World Faire and judging from the turnout, reaction from fans and reviews by the media, it was a huge success. In all there were more than one-thousand people who attended the two day event which included more than 50 workshops and panel discussions, a Renaissance vendor village, a charity auction, live medieval weapon exhibitions and best of all, the exciting announcement of Ultima Online: Third Dawn. UO players from all across the world traveled to Austin, Texas for the event, some from as far away as Japan, Australia and Germany. "The turnout is a testament to the passion our players have for Ultima Online," said DebySue Wolfcale, ORIGIN’s director of retention marketing and the Faire’s event coordinator. "The Faire provided a great opportunity for us to hear what our fans have to say about UO and how we can make it an even better experience for them in the future. Ultima Online: Third Dawn is a great first step in showing the community that UO has a long and exciting future ahead of it." ORIGIN also raised more than $5500 dollars in the charity auction benefiting Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Companies that donated items in the auction included Southwest Airlines, Museum Replicas, Rawcliffe Collectibles and McFarlane Toys. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ If you have any further questions, please feel to contact me.
