Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Officially Announced, Roster Leaked

In a press this morning, Capcom officially announced Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. A few hours later the internet blew up with the complete leaked roster for the game.

What Capcom did release for sure is 4 of the game’s 12 new characters: Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, Firebrand, and Strider. After the release, though, art files named after the characters portrayed therein were analyzed. So simply by taking the URL for the characters and doing some guessing, folks were able to unveil the whole cast to appear in the game.

NeoGAF created a thread that had eight previously unseen pieces of artwork thanks to the roster leak. While many sites reached out to Capcom for explanation, none heard back from the company.

Both Marvel and Capcom feature panels at Comic-Con, which starts tomorrow, so expect answers to this widely-reported “rumor.”
