Ultraman comes to Android in card-based match-3 RPG

Today Animoca brought the humanoid space hero Ultraman to Google Play in a free-to-play, collectible-card/role-playing hybrid game called Ultraman Galaxy.

The title stars the 1966 Japanese television character, who fights giant monsters for Earth's Science Special Search Party. It features over 100 missions, and gameplay consists of both collectible-card battles and turns on slot machines, which can affect round outcomes. Players match three colors to deal powerful combination attacks against enemies.

Over 400 cards from the Ultraman family are available, each with its own power to maximize strategy. Players can form alliances with friends over Facebook and Google+. Animoca, which developed and published titles such as Pretty Pet Salon and Thor: Lord of Storms, is planning to release other Ultraman games later on.

Ultraman Galaxy is due soon for the Apple App Store and the Amazon Appstore.
