Unchained Blades sequel in development

Xseed Games is localizing Unchained Blades for North America. The game will release as a digital download and hit sometime this year.

According to Japanese magazine Famitsu, creator/developer Furyu is continuing the series with a sequel titled Unchained Blades Exiv, also planned for PSP and 3DS. Takashi Hino (Grandia) is penning the game's story, while Toshio Akashi (Lunar) is signed on as producer. Earthbound Papas is working on the soundtrack, and composer Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) is writing the theme song.

Unchained Blades Exiv is scheduled for release on October 18 in Japan. Xseed has not announced a specific date for the first game and did not comment on whether it plans to localize the sequel.
