Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End frame rate locked at 30fps in single-player

Naughty Dog has been very clear with the gaming community that they will not compromise Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's gameplay experience in order to hit the 60 frames per second at 1080p benchmark. When they made this statement in January they had the game running "above 30" frames per second, but capped it when they showed a demo during PlayStation Experience.

It looks as though that cap is here to stay – at least when it comes to the single-player campaign. Naughty Dog''s co-lead designer Anthony Newman recently participated in a livestream of Uncharted 4's E3 2015 gameplay, during the livestream he revealed details on the games frame rate.

"To me, a locked 30 is better than a variable 60," he told livestream host Sancho West, he did note that Naughty Dog is still aiming for 60fps in the game's multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, the livestream did not surprise us with a release date, so as far as we know Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is still due out exclusively for PlayStation 4 sometime Spring 2016.

I'd rather have better gameplay any day.
