It only took about a decade, but the first draft of the Uncharted movie script has finally been completed.
Writer Joe Carnahan posted a photo of the script on his Instagram page, saying “Done and Dusted. Now the REAL work begins. If there's a more monstrously cool action script in Hollywood right now, I wanna read it, 'cuz this thing is a BEAST.”
The Uncharted movie has been in development hell since it was first announced back in 2009. At one point Director David O. Russell and actor Mark Wahlberg were attached to the film, but both have since dropped out.
It appears that the movieis finally getting back on track with Stranger Things director Shawn Levy attached. The movie could begin shooting this summer for a 2018 release, but no actor has been announced yet to play everyone's favorite treasure hunter.
Carnahan has been revealing some heavy hints about the film, claiming it will be really good, and even dropped a few story clues on how he’s developing Drake’s personality.
