Uncharted movie opening scene teased to be “really good”

The script version, that is.

Last week it was noted that the Uncharted movie had been removed from Sony's release schedule, however, there was no official confirmation of the film being delayed or scrapped. While we still haven't seen confirmation from Sony, the movie's director insists the film is still happening.

Around the same time Sony's release schedule released, without Uncharted on it, Joe Carnahan – the director- teased how "good" the opening scene is for the film. For a movie that doesn't have any actors listed for it, a "really good" script might not mean much.

When Deadline, an entertainment news outlet, covered that the film appeared to still be in production, Carnahan tweeted, "Look, Mom! See!?

Now, this doesn't outright confirm that the film is still happening like Carnahan promised in the past, but it does instill a sense of hope. The Uncharted movie has experienced development woes since it was revealed back in 2014 with a July 2016 release date. In 2015, the original director left the project and the film ended up in development hell. Since then, not much has happened with the Uncharted movie besides the usual rumors about actors.
