Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the DLC spinoff might actually be longer than most DLC put out by other companies. That timestamp is looking to be around 10 hours.
In an interview with IBTimes UK, Naughty Dog's head of communications, Arne Mayer, said, "we couldn't keep it short."
"Years ago, when we were asked if we were ever doing a single-player expansion for Uncharted we always said, 'Well, we don't have the self-discipline to do that,'" recalled Mayer. "If we tried to do that we'd create a full game.
"There's no way we could constrict and restrain ourselves, and that's exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realized everything we said was true and we couldn't keep it short."
The total length of The Lost Legacy hasn't officially been revealed, but 10 hours was alluded to. The game will follow Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. It doesn't seem to feature Nathan Drake at all, but it's too soon to tell. This installment is an expansion to Uncharted 4 in a sense. It uses the same engine but can be purchased standalone.
Naughty Dog has previously stated why they made The Lost Legacy a standalone expansion.
