Sony has finally officially announced that Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be released for PlayStation 4 on October 9, 2015.
Though Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann already confirmed the existance of the Collection, Sony finally detailed its contents. As expected, The Nathan Drake Collection will bundle the first three games in the blockbuster franchise — Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception — all in 1080p and 60 frames per second for the PS4.
With Naughty Dog busy on Uncharted 4, developer Bluepoint Games is taking charge for The Nathan Drake Collection. And from what Sony says, they are doing a fine job. In addition to 1080p/60fps, The Nathan Drake Collection will boast better lighting, textures, and models, as well as a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies.
Although we still have a few months to go until Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection releases, Sony is already taking pre-orders for it. If you pre-order today, you can receive the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits along with the following weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you'll also get the Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme immediately.
What's more, anyone who buys Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will receive exclusive access to the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta.
