A new unnofficial app has unlocked Sony's PlayStation 4 Remote Play functionality, allowing anyone with it to stream and play their PS4 games on any Android device.
Typically, Remote Play is reserved for Sony-branded devices. For those unfamiliar, the PS4 feature allows you to stream games to your mobile device (Vita, PS TV, or supported Xperia Smartphones) and play them away from your console — assuming you have a decent internet connection that is.
Thanks to developer TheScriptKitty, there's now an Android APK which unlocks the official Remote Play app from Google Play for use on other devices. The APK can be found over at the XDA forums, but be warned — this is unofficial software. Installing it on your Android device can be risky, as it makes you vulnerable to all sorts of malicious activities.
Because I play by the rules, I haven't tried it. However, Reddit seems to be filled with others much braver than I. You can find all sorts of feedback over there, including instructions on how to download the app.
