Unravel devs have signed a deal with EA for another game

Maybe more Yarny

Coldwood Interactive, developers of physics based puzzle game Unravel, have signed a deal with Electronic Arts in regards to their next project, EA and Coldwood will be working together on Coldwood's next title.

It was in February of this year that Unravel came out and charmed a whole lot of people with its unique puzzle gameplay which featured a charmy yarny protagonist named Yarny. The game was loved by many and has created somewhat of a following due to Yarny and his creator, Martin Sahlin. Though the game also divided players since some did not fully understand what the game was all about.

Regardless of that, EA thought that Coldwood did a great job with Unravel and has decided to partner up with them for yet another game. Nothing has been revealed about this new game, not from Coldwood nor EA, but EA said in a statement that they are happy to be working with Coldwood yet again and to be able to create a new adventure together

"We don’t have any details to share right now, but we look forward to sharing more when the time is right.  We could not be more excited to continue working with Martin Sahlin and the great team at Coldwood, and to see the next adventure they bring to life."

Looking into Coldwood's past doesn't give many clues either. In the past they mostly made various sports games and a puzzle game like Unravel was a completely new path for them. Until EA or Coldwood decided to spill the beans on what they are working we just have to wait.
